Hello Tokio One more time. OKEJ called up Tokio Hotel and talked with them about Swedish girls, money and crazy fans. Hello boys, how are you? Everybody: We are fine! We haven’t slept so much, but we feel good. So how famous do you think that you are going to get? Bill: No idea. I get surprised by it all the time. I didn’t even think that we where going to be so famous in Germany. You where in Sweden a couple of months ago, what did you think of the Swedish girls? Bill: We signed CD: s in Sweden and there where a lot of girls. Many of them hade tight clothes so it was a positive meeting, haha! What do you do with all of the gifts and letters that you get? Bill: Most of it is addressed to the studio so there we keep it and open it up. Unfortunately we don’t have time to read all he letters, but sometimes we do. All of the soft toys and teddy bears we give away to charity and children’s hospitals, because we don’t use them ourselves. What is the craziest thing a fan have done? Tom: They do a lot of stuff. Some paint their cars with Tokio Hotel motives. And sometimes girls climb letters up to our hotel rooms. Gustav and Georg, what do you feel about not getting as much attention as Bill and Tom? Georg: That is no problem at all. Every band has a front icon, and I think this works perfect. Bill: When we started with the band we had different roles. Me and Tom did all of the PR stuff, because we like to talk. Gustav and Georg don’t like to talk as much. Do you never fight? Tom: We definitely fight! Sometime it is wild. Bill: We like to discuss things, and we do it very often. If someone sees us I can look like we are really mad at each other, but we often solve our problems. What question is the most annoying one? Bill: Oh, there are many of those. But almost every journalist asks us why we choose the name “Tokio Hotel” for our band. What do you do on your free time? Tom: I collect stamps and butterflies, haha! Bill: Not so much actually. We try to get some sleep, or we just hang out and watch TV. We don’t have so much free time so we try to get some new energy. What do your families think about that you got famous so quickly? Tom: They where as surprised as we where. We have gotten more space and freedom now, but they are supporting us up to 100%. What do you do with all of the money that you make? Bill: We don’t actually make that much money. People think that we make more money than what we really do. Something that is good is that even though we are this young we have it good economically, and we never have to worry about money. But you have to buy something…? Bill: Well, we like to spend our money on vacations. We work so much so we put a lot of money into that. INTERVIEW FROM BECCA |
